WMRC- Wednesday Morning Running Club-Phoenix, Arizona

A great group of people that meet every wednesday at the Squaw Peak Parkway trailhead and run an hour of trails for about 6 miles.  A very experienced group of Ultra runners with Western States, H.U.R.T, Hardrock and many other major races under their belts.  Really fun to hear the stories and really makes you want that much more.

McDowell Mountain Man - Jay Danek

I met sometime last year when he opened up with his win at the Cave Creek Thriller 50K.  I saw him on and off over the next few races and as he began running more trails we saw him more until he became a regular at Wednesday Morning Running Club.  He's in the midst of a 500+ consecutive run streak where he's gone 4+ miles every day for more than 18 months, just knocked off his first 100 with 19 hours at Lean Horse 100 and is a great training partner, always upbeat, and always willing to share that last gel to get you through to the end.  His website is a compilation of blog, Arizona trail running and a great site that brings everyone together with updates, recaps of Arizona racers and some great guest bloggers.  http://www.mcdowellmountainman.com/
