Yeah...he's hiking this...for a school project. Stop complaining about YOUR homework. :)
The Western Circle is a roughly 6000 mile route that connects the broad range of landscape and biodiversity in the Western United States. This nine month journey, in connection with a Senior Project in Conservation Biology, will highlight the aesthetic beauty of the Western landscape while focusing its conservation pressures. The intent of this hike and associated academic work is to bring awareness to the practice of natural history, conservation, and land management at the landscape level.

Adventure of the Month-March thru October-The Alaska-Yukon Expedition
![Picture](/uploads/3/1/8/2/3182821/62226.jpg)
Nothing is going to top this Adventure so I'm leaving it up all year until he completes this. Andrew Skurka (andrewskurka.com) started in March and has been cross country skiing, pack rafting and hiking across the frozen tundra and now into the Alaska Range circumventing Alaska and the Yukon. Finishing in October back in Nome, Alaska. Never been done before. 4,500 miles of solo, raw, Alaskan adventure.
***UPDATE*** He made it safe and sound. More details to come as they put together all the information and get their pictures together.
